History

Sow the Love Ministries officially began August 26, 2008-nineteen years, to the day, of our wedding vows- ten years after the vision was first birthed in our hearts. We just needed to wait for technology to catch up with God's plans to reach every nation. Loving Jesus passionately, listening, and obeying Him, at all costs, is at the heart of who we are and what we do.

Holly- that's me- was praying and fasting one day for regular family dynamic type stuff: how to pay the bills, raise the kids and help teach the body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission- while at the same time remembering ‘those' people that often get over looked by the church or society.

Since 1995, Tom and I had served the Lord full time in various ministries from missions with Mercy Ships/YWAM to serving as a pastor. Through all of the various changes in ministry roles, one thing stayed constant: ministering to the least of these and teaching others to do the same by simply loving God and loving others.

For 10 years or so, we knew we had the desire to teach and train others but it just never seemed the time to develop some type of school. After all, we had experienced some great missionary training with YWAM. There are great ‘on location' schools that anyone with an interest and time could go to and learn from some great mission minded people.

However, THAT day, lying on the bed, praying, the answer came: Teach and train on the internet. Use the technology to bring the classroom home to the individual people, to the churches who do not have missions' pastors, and to the nations: Join people and churches to the international body of Christ. Then, connect the students on practical mission outreaches.

One thing was sure in my mind; we seemed to know many people all over the world, most of them missionaries and pastors. These individuals' blessed with skills in missions, preaching, communicating and community development, would benefit the body of Christ, the society around them, grow the Kingdom of God and perhaps help support their personal ministries.
